Job keeps beekeeper Monica Johnson busy as a bee no comments

TWO CREEKS — Monica Johnson never anticipated being part of something so buzz worthy.But as a beekeeper, she now finds her unexpected hobby-turned-business pretty sweet.
“My mother would never have believed I’d play with bugs,” Johnson said. “I did not like any bugs … they were not my thing.”
For nearly 40 years, Johnson has cared for bees by the millions, a hobby that is growing in popularity throughout the country.
“They are truly amazing creatures,” said Johnson, who knows of about a dozen other beekeepers in Manitowoc County.
